Vision & Mission

Our Mission

Empowering people with dyslexia and other struggling learners to achieve their true potential.

Our Goals

  • The goal of the Company is to establish a world-class organisation committed to empowering people with dyslexia and other struggling learners in Singapore.

  • We are driven by a steadfast dedication to provide exceptional support, resources, and opportunities that enable these learners to flourish academically, emotionally, and socially.

  • At the core of our organisation lies a deep commitment to understanding and addressing the unique challenges faced by struggling learners. By employing evidence-based approaches, innovative interventions, and personalised strategies, we strive to unlock their untapped potential, fostering a sense of belonging, confidence, and purpose.

  • Our goal extends beyond providing individualised support. We actively cultivate a culture of inclusivity and advocacy, working closely with educators, parents, and the broader community to foster awareness, acceptance, and understanding of struggling learners. By partnering with stakeholders, we aim to influence policy, shape educational practices, and create an environment that values and supports the diverse needs of all learners.

  • Our ultimate aspiration is to be recognised as a global leader in empowering struggling learners. By championing their potential, we envision a future where every struggling learner can achieve their dreams and contribute meaningfully to society.

Our Strategy

The DAS strategy in the coming years remains unchanged and this is "To build a comprehensive and holistic range of programmes and services for our clients with Dyslexia and other struggling learners". Major areas for development include the increasing use of technology in our classrooms, piloting additional support for Normal Tech students and students from Institutes of Higher Learning as well as highlighting the challenge of bullying amongst students with dyslexia.

The breadth and complexity of work at DAS has increased significantly. DAS is recognised as the Specialist Provider of services for Dyslexia and Specific Learning Differences in Singapore, we continue to be the pioneering country in almost everything we do and there is much more we can accomplish for the greater benefit of our clients with Dyslexia and Specific Learning Differences.

Our Aim

The company’s aims are:

  1. to put quality first in delivering a comprehensive and effective professional service for people with dyslexia and other struggling learners;

  2. to provide an assessment service for struggling learners;

  3. to provide a remediation service for people with dyslexia and other struggling learners, including educational therapies;

  4. to raise public and professional awareness of the nature, at risk factors and incidence of dyslexia and other learning struggles;

  5. to enable others (teachers, parents and professionals) to help people with dyslexia and other struggling learners;

  6. to support and elicit support for people with dyslexia and other struggling learners and their families;

  7. to promote and carry out local research on dyslexia and other learning struggles to disseminate results; and

  8. network with organisations with similar objectives in and outside Singapore.
